The Kibera School for Girls runs an after-school program for 30 kindergartners and first graders every day. This program was started by volunteer Becca Green, and is now led by women in the community, with the help of volunteers. From 3:30-5:00 pm each day, our students participate in Math games, storytelling, arts and crafts, and various just-for-fun games. By extending the school day, we keep the girls in a safe, fun, and academic environment where they don’t have to worry about the everyday challenges of living in Kibera.
