This is all about me and my Arabian mare Fancy. It includes a poem I wrote when I first went to a boarding (high)school without her (which is published, so if ya take it you’ll get busted anyways). Now I’m at college even FARTHER away from her and not a day goes by that I don’t think about her. Fancy is my life, she was there for me when no one else was, and still loved me when even I didn’t. Today the students participate in two afternoons a week on a campus work crew. This can be anything from organic gardening and ranch work to glassblowing and electrical. I am in 8th grade this year, which means i will be in high school next year, and Conserve school is a private boarding high school that i would like to attend. I have a friend going there right now, and i visited and i love it.
Money is an issue though, because my dad is half retired. even though it is only an hour and forty five min from where i live, money is still an issue. it is about 30,000 dollars a year, and we definatley can’t afford that. i know that they have merit scholarships, and financil need based aid, but even that won’t cover it. plus my mom won’t let me go! she doesn’t want me to leave home this early.
i know that if i can convince my mom to let me leave home, and that i can get enough money, i could go. i am a good student and am responsible and will hopefully get enough money through scholarships.
how do i convince my mom to let me go? i am already saving my personal money, but i don’t think she wants me to leave! help!
